Ohio State Reformatory

This is a shot we tried a bit of a different edit with.
Interesting building in a very beautiful gothic style.

We spent Christmas Eve with Jeanne and Chip, John and Jen, and a bunch of their family and friends.  Had a great time, a lot of laughs, some great food, and hugs for everyone!  Spending today with family and then our good neighbors and friends Joe and Gale are coming over this afternoon!  Merry Christmas everyone and happy birthday Jesus!

Strangely Interesting

Nearly didn't finish this book.... because I didn't feel that it made a lot of sense....but the ending really does tie a lot of it together in a very strange and interesting way.  All I can say is when I was done reading it I immediately wanted to talk about it w/ Budge... the type of book that has you looking up details of at least one event that would shake any family to the core!

Budge's Quiche

Budge made a bacon, onion and cheese quiche for breakfast on this snowy Sunday morning.  We're having smoked (mesquite wood on the grill) meatloaf later today too.  Some good Eartha Kitt music on the stereo, and a few good movies.... Good comfort food for a warm snuggly day inside!

Pink Floyd The Dark Side of the Moon 1973 Full Album

So forgive me for the length of this submission, but there's something about listening to an album as a whole that really lends to what it really is.  We've listened to this album (yes vinyl) back when I first met Bridget....  a lot of good memories there, a great recording, and one incredible band!  Release the year Bridget was born.

Latest Read

Interesting book about these guys....3 of the four Highwaymen and some interesting accounts of their time in Nashville; back when music and it's industry was an entirely different experience.  The video to the right is an entire concert (which from front to back is filled with some of the greatest country songs ever written).  It's amazing watching Willie's talent on the guitar, their willingness to really let Kris shine, and the way they all show their friendship to each other in this concert.  Say anything you want about any one of them, but they show a spirit that I wish there was more of nowadays, despite their journey.  My father loved their music, played guitar and sang them proud...and few will do in the future what they have done to country....in the past....true friends, stealing each others songs!
