Eggs-ceptional Easter

So we went over to Jen and John's and hung out w/ the girls and Jeanne
and Chip.....ate some fantastic ham w/ the fixin's, and then colored easter eggs.
These are some of the cool creations the girls came up with...
We had fun!

Sunday Chicken Is Better Than Any Other Chicken

Monday through Saturday chicken is a fine sight.....
but what is it about Sunday that makes chicken so right?

Fried Chicken

I like almost every food,
I think every dish is good,
The food I think I like the best,
It's the food that beats the rest.

I could eat it in the morning,
I could eat it without warning.
I could eat it all the day,
Fried or baked either way.

Whether it be famous Lee's or Kentucky fried,
I'll eat chicken until the day I've died.
Chicken is the best you see,
If you won't eat it, I will joyfully.

Fried is the style I prefer,
It too my buddies I'll refer.
I like the crispy crunchy taste,
I'll never let it go to waste.

You may highly disagree,
But chicken is the dish for me.
If you don't like it then that's tuff,

Moe Bettah

So after meeting w/ the committee and taking a vote we have decided
that we want to call him "Moe" instead.....  It's been a very difficult decision, didn't have this much trouble w/ coming up w/ Buddy....
Anyway..... here "Moe" is sleeping all stretched out and comfortable when I came home from work!

Introducing "Goober"

Here is our first picture of "Goober", the new kitty in our household.  As you can see, he is a big fluffball and he has such a sweet disposition.  He gives a whole new meaning to the phrase "laid back". 

Buddy Has A Buddy

So we have a new addition to the family.  We now have a white long haired fluff ball that's twice the size of buddy (and buddy's a pretty good sized cat).  We got it from S.T.O.P. (Stop The Overpopulation Of Pets).  He was brought to the "shelter" from a woman who's father had threatened to shoot the cat if he saw it again in his barn.  The cat (who's name we are still unsure of) was covered in oil, had ear mites, fleas, and matted hair w/ all kinds of stuff tangled in it, and a bad eye infection.  The Vet treated the fleas, ear mites, got nearly all the oil out of his fur, and we're working on the eyes w/ a cream, to get him back up to speed.  He still has some stuff in his fur, (gave him a bath last night to work some of that out) and we're hoping to have him presentable soon.  He's very relaxed already in the house, and Buddy's trying to get used to him.  We wanted a friend for buddy, for when we're gone, and there's nothing for him to do. We'll post a picture soon as we get him spiffy!

Had the chance to watch this concert again this morning.  If you haven't seen it, take the time to watch it.  This is just one of the songs from the concert, w/ Bruce Springsteen, Jackson Browne, Bonnie Raitt, Tom Waits, Elvis Costello, and quite a few others.... it's a great show!
