Big Lyon Falls

This is a picture Noah took of Max and Budge @ Big Lyon Falls....
It's hard to get far enough away from it to get a shot of how big this place is.
The picture still doesn't do the place justice!  There are carvings in the stone
from the 1800's.  The falls have nearly dried up, but when I was a kid, they were
a bit more active.

Ceiling Stains

We found the light on the back porch from Volunteers (a local thrift store)
last year, and Bridget found the one in the kitchen at a new thrift store on Main last month.
When she brought the kitchen light home, I did'nt think it was all that great, until
we mounted it, and flipped the switch!
Great find!

Holiday Sumo

So the boys decided that this would be their last year out trick or treating.
Noah went as a sumo wrestler, and Max as that thing off "Scream".  Won't be
long now and it'll be snowing up here.

Roots Revisited

This is bringing back memories of countless hours in the boatyard down south doing this very thing.
Sanding is a constant boat companion in one form or another.  This is to see what kind of condition
the gelcoat is in, and I can say....it's definately seen it's better days!

Covered Bridges and Head Gaskets

This is a shot of one of the covered bridges we've been to.
We're still kickin' around in the little Geo Metro.
I just spent the last two days replacing the head gasket.
Just got back from a long drive to test it out and make sure everything is running right.
Pleased to say that it is!  There was a whole lotta worrying going on, had never done one before.
Saved us a bunch of money on that one!  Woohoo!

The Shack

Speaking of the boat shack, this is a sign Bridget and I made from some scrap plywood.
Had a lot of fun painting it, gave it several coats of poly, so hopefully it'll last a while.
Room inside for the boat, the car, and I'm starting to get a collection of tools!
My shop is coming alive....  "IT"S ALIIIIIIVE!"

Classic Runabout

Found this 1959 Crosby Hurricane on Craigslist.
Paid $60 for it, w/ the trailer.  Needs a lot of work, but I now
have a boat in my boat shack!  Woohoo!

While passing through Bellville, we happened across this old building
"not so hidden" near downtown.

She's Got Legs

We found a millipede (I hope that's spelled right") while hiking to Lyon Falls.....
almost big enough to make a meal out of.

10000 Acres!

We took a trip to Jack Hanna's "The Wilds" with our neighbors Joe and Gale.
Gale found tickets for a fantastic price, so we found ourselves checking out Rhino, Camels,
Cheetah's and lots of other cool animals.  The scenery was amazing!  We had a fantastic time!

Strange Ohio Building

So we took a trip to Jack Hanna's "The Wilds" and on our way ran across this strange building.  The Longaberger basket building. These baskets are evidently some of the best.  You can find out more about them @ www.longaberger.com
